Our son’s favorite place to lay is in this changing pad. He’s now 3 months old and when we lay him down on the changing table, he coos and laughs at his mobile above his head for 30 minutes at a time. He would probably go longer if I could stand to stay by his side while he entertained himself.

The sides are so padded I am not afraid of him rolling off, although I am always by his side just in case. The non skin bottom is perfect too, it stay put even though the cover does go down over the corners. We have our attached to the back of the dresser it’s on, but it would not go anywhere if we didn’t. I would highly recommend this product!

i went traveling out of the country with my baby who was 2 1/2 months and this was AMAZING in the airport and through traveling! it was great when going through the airport bc i put it on the stroller and when i had to change her i just rolled out the changing pad and she wasn’t in contact with anything dirty in the airport. also once they took my stroller by the gate i just put the bag on my back as a backpack so my hands were free to deal w the baby. also there are so many compartments inside which is great! i highly recommend this bag! We love this stuff. It makes the redness on the bottom go away in a matter of hours, and it is all natural. We used it at the daycare and our son’s teacher was so impressed she asked where she could get some for her daughter. I know it is expensive, but you don’t need very much of it at all and, for us, it is worth it to avoid the red bottom. Our son has very sensitive skin – he can’t use any commercial wipes – we only clean his bottom with water and the Angel Baby soap because it gets so red otherwise – and this doesn’t irritate him at all. We also use it on cuts and scrapes, and a rash my husband had on his hand. Soothing and gentle. Highly recommend.

My mom bought us a whole care package of Earth Mama Angel Baby products after our second child was born. She had done exhaustive research on the safety of a number of different baby products (you’d be surprised what’s in most of it) and this was one of the very, very few to rate a zero hazard on the Environmental Working Group’s Skin Deep Database. So, that’s point one in its favor. Especially to a family like us with one child already suffering from serious ‘atopic dermatitis’ type skin issues.

So, for the actual product. It’s an oily substance, with a strong herbal scent. Strong, but pleasant scent if you like hippie herbal scents. The ingredient list, while not hazardous, is quite long. And my only gripe there is that with that many ingredients, it’s difficult to make a product truly hypoallergenic, because there’s such a huge palette of possible agents to irritate unusually sensitive skin. That said, we were fortunate that it didn’t work out that way for us with this one.

It’s not a miracle cream, but when you have have raw, red, irritated skin, it does have the distinct advantage of not burning. Because there’s no ingredient to mix the oil base to a creamy consistency, there are none of the often harmful agents that are known irritants to skin. The drawback of this is that the mixture can separate rather easily in very little time, forming small while beads throughout (these can be worked in and absorbed into the skin, but with less ease than the original mixture). It does not become rancid, and the shelf life extends beyond two years. I mention this because we found lotions and shampoos by this company begin to smell fermented quickly: think 2-6 months time.

As for the actual healing qualities of this mixture, I’d place them at slightly better than average. My kids have really, really, bad rashes and I’m a pretty harsh judge on products in this regard. I’ve found that the best maintenance product for eczema is California Baby’s Calendula Cream, but we can’t apply that when the kids have scratched themselves bloody (it has alcohol-based ingredients and stings), so this is our more-difficult-to-obtain fallback.

Final advice: I wouldn’t pass this up by any means, but I wouldn’t expect a miracle. It’s a better-than-average moisturizer and has herbal ingredients that, for most, will be soothing to the skin. I would rate it as being one of the more effective products in the small pool of safer baby products. Ironically, I have no experience using it as a diaper cream, so cannot comment in that regard.

I agree with the overall sentiment that the tag reading system is a great product. However, I just wanted to chime in to say that this book is much better than the average tag book.

My daughter liked reading the story — but, what keeps her coming back are the quizzes and games. This is where the SpongeBob book shines. There is a really nice section at the back with several pages of quizzes and games. The games progress in levels where the child builds upon what they are learning. For example, there is a section on ‘past and present’ tense. First the concept is introduced, then the child is asked to pick a few words which are then used in a funny story/example. Then they play a game where the tag reads words and they must choose whether the word is past or present. The child must understand the concept before being able to choose the correct answers. I really enjoyed watching my daughter figure this out.

Overall, I think this is a great book, very entertaining and keeps the kids interested over time — which for me is important. I don’t want to have to buy a new book every week to keep my daughter interested in the toy. There aren’t that many books available and it would become expensive fast.

We purchased this for my 6 year old daughter’s Tag reader system, and she LOVES it. She is a big Spongebob fan, and this is a tremendous hit. The sounds are very funny and mixed in with all the sounds and fun, the Tag reader system is really helping her be a better reader on her own.

I purchased this bag when I was traveling to California with my 2 year old. It worked out great. I was able to pack several diapers, wipes, etc as well as drinks, milk and some small snacks. It’s lightweight and not bulky. However, one portion of the bag broke on the inside where you can hold the sippy cups-that’s why I only gave it 3 stars. Otherwise, I was very happy with this product.
