We’ve had this gate in use at home for a year. So why write a review now? Because we just replaced the gate.
My husband fell down the stairs this weekend. Thankfully he wasn’t injured more than just a couple bruises. He did however break the closed baby gate at the bottom of the stairs when he fell against it. The gate didn’t disengage, but a couple of the wooden slats on it were broken off the bottom railing.
Think about that folks; it took the weight of an adult man falling against the gate to cause it to break.
My toddler has stood on the bottom rail of the gate and shaken it numerous times in the past year. Never once has said toddler managed to open the gate or do damage to it.
Now don’t you want something that sturdy in your home?
Best of all when the gate was broken this weekend a quick call to Babies-R-Us confirmed that they had a replacement in store. An hour later I’d driven to the store, purchased the gate, and installed the replacement into the existing undamaged wall bracket hardware. The second gate fit into the wall hardware exactly the same as the original gate had. I didn’t need to fiddle or adjust any tension settings the way I have with other gates in the past.
For my money, this gate is one of the best on the market. Reliable every time and a great price.
I have to say that I do feel the gate isn’t as sturdy as metal but with a wood gate you are going to have some give and flexibilty.(I bought this to replace a metal pressure mount that my son shook til it fell on him) But once installed it is extremely stable and definitely not going to be ripped out of the wall. My son and the boy I watch both 16 months shake it and I have good faith in it. I have it at the bottom of the stairs but if I needed to I would put it at the top.
As for putting it up I chose to make a trip to the hardware store as opposed to buying a kit, which I would’ve needed two of since it is installed into drywall on one side and against a bannister on the other. I bought a 2×3 stud board, 2 toggler bolts(metal anchors that pop open behind the wall) and some wood stain. I also used some paint and cable ties, which I already had. I chose the 2×3 instead of a 1×2 so that I wouldnt have extra holes in the wall from the gate screws going through the board.
I cut the board into two 36″ in pieces. Painted one to match my wall and stained to other to match the bannister. I used the template to put the gate hinges on the wall board. Then I drilled the holes for the bolts. I put the board to the wall where I wanted it and drilled through again to make the holes for the anchors. I took the board away to make the holes in the wall larger to fit the anchors. I put the bolts and anchors on and bolted it to the wall. I put the other board up to the banister and marked where I wanted the ties to go. Then I drilled holes through the board so that the ties could go through the board and tied it to the bannister. Then I put the gate onto the wall brackets and lined it up to install the latch brackets and that was it.

Fisher-Price Rainforest Open-Top Cradle Swing Reviews
We purchased this swing for our newborn son based on the fact that my wife uses one at the daycare she works at. Perhaps the biggest selling point for us was the fact that you have the option of using a plug-in adapter or batteries. Since just about every other item used for a baby takes batteries, it was nice to finally see a product with an A/C adapter. Other features that we like are the side-to-side or front-to-back swinging option, the wonderful mobile which features up-and-down movement, and the music/rainfall noises. All of these options work independently of one another, which makes this product even more appealing. We haven’t had any problem with the swinging (or lack thereof) that others seem to be having. Sure, the swing doesn’t move very fast, but I don’t think my son is quite ready for roller coaster speeds just yet. My son seems very content while he naps in the swing as well.
Overall, I think that this swing is an excellent purchase for anyone in the market for one. While it may not have the strongest motor, it has plenty of other options that make it a good buy.

I purchased this swing for my 4 month old daughter. I was enticed by the fact it was the only one I could locate that could be plugged into an outlet and work off household electricity rather than battery power. I imagined this would make the “swing” consistantly a better “swing” as there would never be a weak power source. The first swing I brought home from the store was assembled (which only took about 15 minutes) and plugged in. I was immediately disappointed by the lack of swing, and eventually my wife and I determined that there was definitely something wrong with the swing, because even with no baby the swing would stop swinging then slowly…and barely swing again. I returned it…and purchased another. I agree with the other reviewer that it just appears to take awhile for it to “warm” up. As I sit and watch her in the swing at this moment, it seems to be working okay, but I’m not totally convinced. The mobile rotates and the leaves move up and down. If the motor issue could be improved I’d be more pleased with this particular swing.

So we have a wonky bottom-of-the-stairs area that needed a gate under 25″ high, and this gate was pretty much it. It looks so junky, and it would be in a high-traffic area, where we’d have to remove it and re-install it several times a day… ugh. But we’ve been pleasantly surprised at how well it works! I can remove it one-handed with my 25-lb toddler in the other arm, and re-install it just as easily. She pulls on it with all her might and can’t dislodge it. The price is right, too. It’s ugly, to be sure, but does the job much better than I’d hoped for.
This gate is easy to use, and has worked well, it is just not that pretty to look at. If you don’t care how it looks, then you can’t beat the price and your child will still be safe, which is what is most important.

Safety 1st Prograde No Drill Top Of Door Lock Reviews
We bought this because our toddler kept going into the pantry. We put this lock on the door and it works great! The only problem with it is that sometimes when you’re closing the door, the lock will catch and you can’t close the door all the way. Then you have to push the gray mechanism and the door shuts easily. I would definitely buy this again.
This item clamps on your door and is tightened with an allen wrench (included). When the safety catch is engaged, the door cannot be fully closed (this prevents pinched fingers and allows the door to be opened from either side). It stays cracked open (maybe 2 inches) and offers just a short amount of travel. That may be annoying at first as your little one tries to swing the door back and forth, but they will probably tire of it quickly since they can do no more than get a hand through the opening. Safety catch can be easily disengaged when you want to close the door completely. Not ideal for all situations, but works for me (I have it on a laundry room door that provides access to the garage).

I love this bed rail because it is the longest one I could find at 65 inches. The ones in the stores are way too short. Who wants short ones where a child can fall out? This long one prevents a child from falling out of bed.
It also has soft padding around bars, so if the child accidentally bumps into it, it doesn’t hurt.
It is easy to flip up and down, so it makes it easy to change sheets on bed.
It has never come loose, or fallen down, and we have had ours for 2 years, and our child has never fallen out of bed. We have one on each side.

We’re on our second child and our 4th swing. Our fist son wore out 2 swings, and the 3rd worked just ok until our second son came along, then it decided to die also. Having invested a ton of money on 3 swings already that all broke, I was hesitant to buy another one. But this one was so cute and was such a great price I couldn’t resist. Our son absolutely loves it! We also have the matching bouncer and tummy time mat. The swing keeps him calm and puts him to sleep, giving us time to take care of other things. The music is cute and the speeds are great, especially for a heavier baby. I highly recommend this swing, and will now buy Fisher Price products instead of Graco (FYI the 3 swings we had that died were all graco!)

I find that this gate with the extra small step at the bottom may make it even more unsafe than not having a gate at all especially if you are carrying your baby and use it at the top of the stairs. I also did not like the latch design.
One of the best looking gates on the market, so probably ok if you don’t use it for top of the stairs.
I’m a mother of very active twins and we’ve tried several other gates but this one seems to be the sturdiest so far. we’ve had it for a couple of months now and thankfully it has been doing the job. there have been a few occasions when they have been able to push the door open but that is only in the case that you do not make sure it locked and “clicked” into place.

This spinning top was purchased for an adult with developmental disorders. He loves spinning objects. As he is an adult, I continue to look for items that are durable. This top is made of metal and appears to be more durable than the previous plastic tops that were purchased. He has had the top for about 3 weeks and it is still in one piece!!! The suction cup at the bottom does not completely prevent the top from moving but is sufficient to keep the top on the table. I would order this top again.
We bought this for our three year old daughter’s birthday and it was a huge hit! She loves the bright colors and graphic shapes. It’s a little hard for her to make it go fast enough to hear the whistles, but our six year old loves to do that part for her. This is a very nice break from all the electronic stuff we are surrounded by.

Schylling Color Changing Top Reviews
I got this toy for my 21 month old and she absolutely loves it. When I first looked at the picture it didn’t look like much and I couldn’t figure out how the colors were going to “change”. Once we got it and used it we saw that the disks of color blend together to create all the colors of the rainbow as it spins. My daughter loved it, both my husband and I thought it was neat and the grandparents fell in love with it too. My father in law actually wanted one himself for “stress relief”.
The toy has a suction cup that sticks to the floor and so it doesn’t fall over as it spins and the handle is pretty easy for a child to learn to pump up and down. It is made of plastic and metal, but the handle is not attached all that well and it only took a couple of tosses by my toddler before the handle fell off. It can be popped back on but it’s going to come off again and again. It’s probably fairly durable for child that doesn’t toss his/her toys, but not for one that does. All in all it is a really neat toy. Fun for the whole family.
I purchased this top for my granddaughter, who is 2, for Christmas. She has a brother who is 5-1/2 and a cousin who is 6. They all loved it and played with it most of the day. The only drawback, as told to me by my daughter, is that it sounds a bit like a train while it is spinning, which I am sure the kids love, but after a while got on the adults nerves and they had to turn the kids attention to other toys. Other than that, I would have given it 5 stars. My grandchildren love it, and of course now that it is now Christmas day, they don’t play with it constantly, so the train noise is not such an issue.
