I like the bag, but you can’t zip it with 8 oz. Brown’s bottles in it. I need to take 3 bottles and 2 baby foods to daycare, and that will not remotely make it in this bag. However, the bag is narrow too, which is great for carrying the small medela bottles that you pump milk into which have a tendency to leak.

It comes with an ice pack but i found that the Medela 4 bottle ice pack works better -OR- i really like the icy-cools reusable ice mat. With the ice mat, you can cut them in between the sealed squares to fit your cooler perfectly. Then you have cold around both sides and not just on the bottom, like with the ice pack it comes with.

Its a good design and clips to almost anything. Its good not just for bottles, but as an upright lunchbox.

Love the snaps, hate the mold/mildew, April 28, 2010

I initially loved this bib for three reasons: 1) its laminate surface is super easy to clean, 2) it has snap closures, which is hard to find in my opinion is essential (velcro inevitably stops “sticking” after months of normal use and basic washing, rendering the bib useless), and 3) it is comfortable for my kids to wear (unlike hard plastics).

However, now after using it for about 6 months, black mold/mildew is (rather suddenly) growing between the layers of the bib. It’s impossible to clean off, even with straight bleach, and while I do not yet have odor issues, I expect (based on other reviewers’ comments) that I soon will. I’m a bit freakish about mold, especially since my children eat with these bibs… these will most certainly find their way to my trash as soon as I can replace them.

BTW – I’ve only ever hand-washed these bibs, and usually clean them just by wiping the surface. If even this most basic, careful maintenance can lead to mold/mildew, then clearly the product is defective.

If anyone knows of a laminate snap-bib that has a better track record and longer life span, please let me know! I’ll buy these again with the knowledge that they will not last long, but only if I can’t find another laminate snap-closure bib as an alternative.

The BEST bibs!, February 2, 2010

I have several of these bibs and LOVE them! The first ones I bought had a vinyl liner that would collect water if I soaked them in the sink or washed them in the washing machine. I can totally see how they would harbor smells. However, the subsequent ones I purchased did not have that vinyl liner and are just as durable and washable without it. I cut the vinyl out of the first ones and now they are great! These are so easy to keep clean. I either just wipe them down if they aren’t too dirty, or throw them in the DISHWASHER if they are really dirty. I have washed them this way regularly for at least a year and they still look awesome (I don’t use the heat dry cycle on my machine, though, just FYI). Love, love, LOVE these bibs! Babies can’t get them off, either – and the neck is adjustable so they fit my 6 month old just as well as my two year old.
