Wee Gallery books are made from natural and sustainable materials and follow ethical standards of manufacturing.
Wee Gallery was established in 2002 by a graphic designer and teacher (couple) who were studying everything they could, after the birth of their son, to understand baby's development. Their studies discovered the following:
• newborns can only see as far as 12 to 15 inches away (around the length of your forearm and hand)
• newborns are most taken with their parents’ faces
• newborns are drawn to simple but repeating geometric shapes in black and white
• at around 6 months of age, they begin to recognise animal forms, later calling them by name.
Babyblooms has selected their favourite book products from the Wee Gallery range. Slide and play, press and listen, some are soft cloth, some are waterproof, these books are designed to thrill and engage as well as educate and help develop visual aptitude from infancy to the toddler years.
